Personal training is much more than just creating workouts, and spotting people. As a personal trainer, your clients put their trust in you with their health and well being. If you want to standout from the rest and be the best personal trainer you can be define your own Core values and Standards.

What Values and Standards do you set for yourself?

I learnt this from Action coach, a great company run by the irrepressible Brad Sugars! I recommend you take the time to watch some of his great content on YouTube. I used to have a great partnership with them as a sales trainer.

As your personal trainer you have the right to expect the following standards from me:

Results – Whatever your fitness & health goals are together we will look at what is achievable, write them down together with timeframes and I will be 100% committed to helping you achieve them.

Professionalism – You will ALWAYS receive a professional service. You will be respected and never taken for granted.

Honesty – You will find I am honest, truthful, and “up-front” with you always. Only training advice that is safe and will benefit you greatly will ever be recommended

Commitment – As your personal trainer, I will always keep up to date with all the latest training advancements and new techniques, and always strive to be the very best version of myself I can be. I know what it takes to make change and I will be there to help you.

In Summary – I am a personal trainer with over 30 years’ experience in health & fitness, trained to provide you with a service that WILL generate the results you want.

Take Some Time and Create Your Own

Ask yourself these questions:

  • If you were one of your clients what standards would you expect from me?
  • What is important to you when training your clients
  • What are the standards you hold personally that you will never compromise?

Your core values and standards, will attract clients who resonate with you. It’s a beacon that draws like-minded individuals to you.

Define them clearly, put your signature on it and send them out to every client. Your core values and standard should be personal to you and something you NEVER compromise on, no matter what the circumstances. Making yourself accountable to these standards will set you apart from the crowd. And help you through the tough times.
